The Con went well. It was great to just simply try it out. I'm thankful it was in its first year so I didn't have to be so worried that it wouldn't all work out. I'm sure everyone else there was a bit nervous too. There were a lot of neat artists there.
I did pretty well for sales, surprisingly. I have always been rather worried about my work but that helped me see that people actually like my work. Whoa.
I met a lot of different people, got commissions, and saw friends and family. It was really neat to see Wichita's con scene coming together. I'm used to the anime scene here (I attended its first anime convention years ago) so it's great to see how the comics/fantasy art/sci-fi etc scenes are coming to fruition as well. It's about time eh?
As such, I've been working on commissions along with raising my son at home. He's still pretty young so I'm thankful I can have this opportunity to work at home while being with him right now.
